IVI UK CEO – Mr Enda McVeigh
IVI UK CEO Mr Enda McVeigh MB BCh BAO MPhil FRCOG is an Associate Professor at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Oxford University. Mr McVeigh is a highly respected and prominent figure within the field of Fertility and Reproductive Medicine with over 25 years’ experience in research and specialising in Reproductive Medicine and Endometriosis.
Chair of the Clinical Board at IVI UK – Professor Adam Balen
Professor Adam Balen MB, BS, MD, DSc, FRCOG is Chair of the British Fertility Society, past Chair of the ESHRE Special Interest Group in Reproductive Endocrinology, a member of the WHO Global Infertility Guidelines Committee and Chair of the WHO Expert Working Group on the management of PCOS. He has special interests in reproductive endocrinology, and in particular, the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
He is the author of 12 books, including the popular Infertility in Practice (4th edition published in 2014), and over 230 peer-reviewed papers. He lectures widely, both nationally and internationally. As Chair of the BFS, Adam has overseen the creation of two new national task forces: Fertility Preservation UK, to ensure nationwide provision for those who require fertility preservation for medical reasons and The Fertility Education Initiative, to improve the provision of education to young people about all aspects of reproductive health, including factors that may influence their future fertility. Mrs Fiona Pringle is Chair of the Royal College of Nursing Fertility Forum. Mrs Pringle was a founding member of the Senior Infertility Nursing Group, and has over 20 years’ experience in fertility nursing.

Mr Rutherford MB, BS, FRCOG, MRCOG is a member of the HFEA, the NICE Evidence Update Committee for Fertility and the International Advisory Committee of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. He has over 30 years’ experience in Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and has published over 94 peer-reviewed articles, papers and book chapters. Mr Rutherford has also lectured widely both nationally and internationally.

Dr Lockwood FRCOG, DPhil, MA (Oxon) has been the Medical Director at IVI Midland, formerly Midland Fertility, since 2000. Dr Lockwood has over 25 years’ experience specialising in Reproductive Medicine and Fertility after completing her Doctorate at the University of Oxford and becoming one of the UK’s leading experts in the field. Dr Lockwood has lectured, broadcasted and published widely on all aspects of fertility.

The Medical Director of each established IVI UK clinic is also a member of the UK Clinical Board.
Dr Venkatakrishnan MMBS, MD, MRCOG, PGCert is the Medical Director of IVI Midland. Dr Venkatakrishnan is a Sub-specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery with over twenty years’ experience in the field, and has a specialist interest in recurrent implantation failure. Dr Venkatakrishnan is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford and has published widely in academic publications, journals and book chapters.
