Our commitment to R&D has seen us develop and patent leading technologies such as the Embryoscope, as well as pioneering a number of new fertility techniques and treatments in the last 26 years. This includes the introduction of vitrification in Europe. We also offer the most up-to-date techniques and equipment available, which is key to maintaining and indeed improving the IVI Group’s high pregnancy and implantation rates year after year.
Success based on research
The first IVI centre opened over 26 years ago and was the first clinic in Spain dedicated to assisted reproduction. Since then, we have expanded and now have over 70 clinics worldwide. The three pillars of our success are: excellence in health care, teaching, and research.
All our clinics invest a percentage of their income in the IVI Foundation, which manages our research activity. The aim of the Foundation is to improve the results of current assisted reproduction treatment by developing new techniques and minimising the adverse effects of treatment. For some of our research projects we collaborate with hospitals and universities. IVI UK CEO Mr Enda McVeigh Associate Professor at the Nuffield Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Oxford University. Enda has over 25 years’ experience in reproductive medicine and is involved with various prestigious research projects at Oxford University.
Our investment in global research has enabled us to greatly improve the techniques we offer and increase success rates in IVI clinics year on year.
